art direction, motion graphics, LED mapping
Between June 6 and July 31, 2014, during the FIFA World Cup in Brazil, Cine Theatro Brasil Vallourec hosted the exhibition “País Bom de Bola: Football and Cultural Identity,” an immersive experience that guided visitors through the history of football in Brazil—from its arrival in the 19th century to becoming a defining element of national culture.
The audiovisual installation, developed by MIR Creative Technology, was integrated into the architectural beams supporting the theater’s original roof structure in Belo Horizonte, MG. The piece combined a system of colored LEDs with a 5.1 surround sound environment, synchronizing light and audio to recreate iconic moments in Brazilian football history.
I was responsible for designing and animating all LED content for the installation, as well as creating the commercial broadcast on television during the exhibition period. My role involved concept development, visual direction, and animation for this large-scale, on-site immersive experience.
